About Centre

The Centre for Corporate Laws and Governance aims to initiate and channelize researchon various aspects of corporate laws locally and globally. The Centre aims to be afacilitator in initiating discussion and enable policy making in aspects of corporate lawssuch as Company Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, Securities Law, Insolvency &Bankruptcy Code etc. The Centre for Corporate Laws and Governance would alsoundertake research in a variety of areas related to corporate laws which includes but isnot limited to:

Centre Objectives

The Centre for Corporate Laws and Governance aims to propose the following activities:

  • To promote and undertake research on corporate law and allied laws;
  • To study the existing legislative and policy frameworks in the field of corporate lawsand suggest modifications at the level of policy drafting.
  • To aid and advise the University on the teaching of corporate law subjects within theUniversity and develop innovative curriculum, teaching material and teaching methods in this field;
  • To conduct seminars and conferences in order to promote research and discourse onissues related to corporate and allied laws;
  • 5. To undertake research projects in areas of corporate laws;
  • 6. To develop links of the Centre with academicians in other Indian and foreign Universities/ Colleges/ Organizations/ Institutions/ Research Centres and corporate law experts;
  • 7. To promote nexus of the Centre with the members of the legal profession working in the field of corporate law;
  • 8. To carry on any research or activity incidental or ancillary to the objects of the Centre
